The Juniata County Food Pantry is a charitable organization established in 1982 by Juniata County churches to meet short-term, emergency food needs and provide training in nutrition and food preparation. Our goal is to work closely with other community agencies to eliminate the possibility of any person going hungry in our community. The food pantry relies on local community support to help pay the costs of operating and supplying the pantry. Churches, businesses, community organizations, and individuals donate money, food and other supplies. They also supply volunteer help to stock shelves and fill food orders. The food Pantry also receives federal and state food grants to help purchase food.
